About us and our charitable work
Explore Cambodia is a venture founded by myself, Tim, and my Cambodian wife, Dalin. Living in Cambodia, I frequently shared my experiences with friends back in the UK and they were impressed with how beautiful and diverse Cambodia is. This realization sparked a desire to showcase Cambodia's wonders, it's fascinating history, and it's warm, hospitable people to a broader audience. Thus, Explore Cambodia was created. Our business is not just about exploration; it's also committed to giving back. We actively support local charities and rural schools, helping to replace dangerous playground equipment.
Our local guides are incredibly friendly, passionate about their country, incredibly knowledgeable, informative and speak great English. We have chosen them especially to make your time with us as enjoyable as possible and fulfilled.
Our guides are fully licensed with Cambodia's ministry of tourism and trained in first aid.
Our drivers are safe and reliable. After your days experience, they'll be happy to drop you off at alternative places should you want to.
When first visiting Cambodia, like many tourists, I was faced with researching where to go, what hotel to stay in, which guides to book and how to get around. You can spend many wasted hours reading reviews to try and ensure your time in Cambodia is filled with great experiences. With Cambodia being a developing country, finding the right hotels, guides and transport, proved to be quite a challenge.
On my mission to create the Ultimate Cambodian experience, I stayed in many hotels and picked only the best ones for the Tour. Our guides have become like family, and our logistics tried and tested many times to ensure a pleasant and comfortable adventure.
We also operate a volunteer program in rural schools in Kampong Thom, which is a 2 hour drive from Phnom penh.

Our Volunteer and Charity Programmes
When booking a Tour with us you help support our charitable work by replacing dangerous playground equipment in village schools.
For children in a Cambodian village, the school isn't just a place for learning, it is their only place for recreation and enjoyment. Rural schools get very little funding and so playground equipment is incredibly old, rusted metal with holes in proving to be very dangerous. With little other option available to them, children play on these, sometimes resulting in serious injuries.
